    3. Mention of St Peter's in Gordon's mail prompts me to wonder if the brass Cross is still in place in the paving flag outside what was most recently the HMV store in Church Street? I have tried to look each time I've been to Liverpool, but it's always been boarded off and covered with builders' walk boards. Someone did tell me that instead of the store being gutted and re-fitted, it's going to be the entrance through to the new shopping area in Paradise Street. Can anyone confirm or otherwise about both the Cross and the entrance? 3. Hi Ray You asked :- >Are all Liverpool and S W Lancs marriages, ca 1820-1825, on CD? No - very few in fact. :-( For a full list of what's available from the Society go to :- http://www.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/ and select :- 1. Publications (on left) 2. Overseas Orders (being as you're in Canada) 3. Section 2 - computer related 4. CD & Floppy Disc. The Liverpool St Peter cd, by the way, is only an INDEX of marriages 1800-1837. It doesn't include images of the marriage entries nor does it show age, addresses or names of witnesses. In fact the only information it contains over & above that on the IGI is groom's occupation + bride's marital status ie whether spinster or widow. 3. Hi Merseyside & Liverpool pals, I sent the message to both lists at the same time, if it only just showed up on the Liverpool list then I guess it got lost in Liverpool's massive redevelopment, lol. Every time I go to Liverpool it takes me a while to get my bearings, lol. I guess the message got lost in the new canal system :-))) Joking aside, I hope you find the info useful, I certainly did. It's not often we get some free resources and I can't praise Keith and his helpers enough. You can also find what the weather was like in Liverpool back then too, some things don't change, lol.
