Hello, New to British records. I have done most of my research in Ireland and Scotland so I need a bit of help here. I have a Michael Thomas McDonnell born around 1869 and died in Manchester in 1943. He fits the profile for my missing Michael, brother of my great grandfather. Michael left Ireland late 1890's early 1900's and married in Scotland and had 2 sons, Hugh in 1908 and Thomas in 1910. Thomas died in an accident in 1915 and that is the last that I can find any records of Michael in Scotland. Ancestry kept popping up with this name in Lancashire, so I sent for a death certificate. It lists a son, Thomas as informant. It is not unlikely that Michael and wife had another child and named him Thomas. Address listed is 15 Tripping street, Openshaw, Manchester. Not sure what records might be available in that time frame, or if this is even my Michael. That is what I want to verify. No place of birth or parents' names listed. His parents were Bessie Maguire and Hugh McDonnell of Fermanagh, NI. Janet
