Bolton Family History Society AGM and May Meeting, Wednesday, May 1st at 7:30pm John Cowell, the Lancashire historian from the Greater Manchester Jewish Genealogical Society, will be giving a talk about the history of the Bolton Jewish Community, and their legacy in the local drapery, tailoring, glazier, bicycle manufacturers, money lenders, jewellers, medical professions, amongst other trades and professions (even a Nobel Prize winner). This will be preceded by the annual General Meeting which will last about 15 minutes. Nominations are invited for vacancies on the committee. The venue is Bolton Cricket Club, Green Lane/Bishops Road, Farnworth BL3 2JB and the date Wednesday May 1st at 7.30pm.
