None appears yet on Lancs OPC. Or please tell me where I can obtain photocopies - presumably from microfiche. I expect the answer may be the Manchester Record Office, Marshall St, or the Local Studies Centre in St Peter's Library if it is now functioning again. I'm hopelessly out of touch. My final question: Newton Heath is an area new to me in my researches. I've found very little on the web so far re this area in the mid-1700s - Victoria County Histories, Genuki, Google Books, etc. I would welcome any suggestions guiding me to local publications/websites. Why would a young man from East Cheshire be drawn to Newton Heath at that particular time? Is there a special reason that I should know about? I suspect an apprenticeship. Thanks for any help. Ruth

The records for All Saints for 1761 were just a few fragments. I could not see these names in the bits shown and those that were clear only show parents names no other details.
