    3. Hi I have an Extract taken from the Register of Marriages in the Collegiate and Parish Church of Manchester but am unable to locate where this church is. Can anyone advise if this is the correct name for the church as I would like to look up a marriage from 1823 that was solemnised there. Many thanks and kind regards Di Kendle

They didn't ask too many questions about length of residence in the parish and that sort of thing. A gt-gt-aunt of mine and her fellow who both came from Scarborough stopped off to get married there in the 1850s en route to Liverpool to board a ship for Australia. -- Roy Stockdill Genealogical researcher, writer & lecturer Famous family trees blog: http://blog.findmypast.co.uk/tag/roy-stockdill/ "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
