I too have spent hours searching at Manchester Central Library ... and seeing those entries are just heart breaking...sometimes, 2 children from the same family died on the same day! If anyone wants an internet view of such -- log onto http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/Wigan/Wigan/allsaints/index.html I just picked these years at random - the Wigan site has lots transcribed.
