Sorry Bryan, I dont see a Broughton road in Hulme. :(( I did mention to Rob, there is a Station street to the south east of London Road Railway station in 1844. But this is in the Chorlton on Medlock area. The time period that Rob is looking into is before the railway lines and stations. Its very possible this street was ripped up before 1841 in Hulme to make way for the new tracks and stations.
