    3. Hello Madalyn, Bird street was in the St Thomas Ward in Pendleton. I have sent you the map section showing this in 1894. St George 's church was to the north about 15 or more minutes walk.     2. Hi Mike, Many thanks for the map section. It's a great help, I'm completely out of my comfort zone in Pendleton! I have the 1849 Godfrey Maps for Man.Victoria and Salford (Adelphi) which gives me a small section of Broughton Road starting at Williamson, Salford and Willow Streets (by St.Matthias Church) and runs to the start of Green Gate. Could you give me some idea of the distance between the section of Broughton Road that you sent and where my maps begin.
