Hello Mike, I wonder if you would be kind enough to look for two streets for me in Salford please? I am still chasing those glassmakers! 1. Claremont Street, in Regent Road Sub-Registration District of Salford, c.1881 I feel it should be near to the Regent Glass Works on Regent Road. Perhaps in the area to the south of the glassworks? Gloucester Street is immediately before it on the census pages of 1881, if that helps. 2. Halliwell Street, again in the Regent Road Sub Registration District of Salford. 1891 and 1901. Phoebe Street appears in the census closeby, as does Hulton Street and West Park Street. Again it may well be near to the glassworks on Regent Road. I need to prove that these are not the modern "Claremont Road/ Halliwell Road" which are a bit to the north in Irlam O' Th' Height / Prestwich Golf Club. You sent me one or two maps of Salford before but I think these must be just off what you sent as I can't find them! Many thanks Sally in Yorkshire
