Hello Everyone, My name is Raissa I live in Yarm, Cleveland, UK but I am originally from Russia. My husband is British. He was born and brought up in Cleveland (Teesside). I've been living in the UK for 11 years (on/off) but my English is still not perfect so, please, forgive me for any mistakes I'm and will be making. The main surnames of my research are Bettinson, Moore, Gilbert and Booth. The Booths were from the Manchester area. Here is the information I know about them (not a lot...): My husband's grandmother Edith Booth: Birth: 19 Mar 1893, Death: abt 1986 in Cleveland - from the Ancestry.co.uk Marriage: to Herbert Bettinson in 1917, Wesleyan Chapel, Hindpool Rd, Barrow in Furness, Lancashire. Her father's name: William Henry Booth, occupation: printer (deceased) -from the copy of the marriage certificate. I've managed to find ONLY one William H Booth who was a PRINTER: 1901 census, Salford district: William H. Booth - married - 58 years of age has 4 children: Edith 8, Martha 4, William H. 1 year and Ethel 3 months old. NO mother listed but there is a housekeeper: Susan Denham (?), 42, single.... The first child of Edith and Herbert was born in December 1917 at 40 Sycamore Str., Cheetham, Prestwich, County of Manchester C.B. - from the copy of an entry of birth. Add inform. from the family members: Edith's mother (no name) was celebrating her 100th Birthday in abt 1952/1953, in Manchester somewhere near the Wesleyan/Methodist church/chapel. I would like to know where was/is the 40 Sycamore Street of Cheetham and how to find out who were the residents on this address from 1917 to 1953. I am not familiar to the area of Manchester and would appreciate your help. If anyone wants any help with Russian translation (you never know...) or photographs taken in my area I'm here to help. Hi Raissa,   Sycamore Street was directly off Waterloo Road Cheetham.
