Hi from Australia I am researching the PRINCE/WOOD families William PRINCE born Derbyshire 1798 Died 1879 Sale married 5 Sep 1830 St Mary's church Manchester to Elizabeth WOOD bapt 1 Nov 1811 Manchester Cathedral I have a lot of information on William PRINCE but very little on his 1st wife Elizabeth WOOD Elizabeth died Jly Aug Sept qtr 1849 and I would like to find her place of burial if possible William PRINCE has a very impressive headstone in the Sale cemetery(I have been sent a photograph) with details of other family members unfortunately there is also an unreadable area which might have solved my problem. !841 census the family lived at 36 Stanley st Cheetham 1851 & subsequent census William had remarried and was living at "Broughton House" 139 Marsland Road Sale In the Will of William PRINCE written 1873 he mentions property formerly belonging to the late William WOOD left in trusts for his (Wm WOOD) 2 sons William & James which were subsequently purchased by William PRINCE. The Will then mentions purchase of property in Stott St Hulme purchased from the afsignees under the said James WOOD'S Bankruptcy. Solicitors were Farrar & Hall of Manchester I have found a marriage for a William WOOD occupation Stone Mason & Alice POMFRET who have sons James & William and a dau Elizabeth but have been unable to prove any connection and can find no Bankruptcy papers nor the death or Will of William WOOD. Could Elizabeth have been buried with her parents? Hoping somebody in the Manchester area will be able to help or offer suggestions Many thanks in anticipation Sandra
