As stated, Southern Cemetery graveyard is huge and also there is the Cremeturium Garden of Rememberence. I had reason to believe that my Loval/Lovely- Towhey's were buried there. I visited the Cemetery Office asking if they could give me the grave numbers, unfortuantely there was not any record of my ancestors being buried there. Whilst I was walking through the grounds I was stopped by a Policeman who told me that it was very dangerous to walk through the graveyard by myself because a number of sexual assaults and muggings had taken place. He also told me that it was unwise to carry a hangbag in the graveyard. Sound advise but very sad! I later discovered that my Loval/Lovely-Towheys had left Manchester in the 1930's and were buried in Lambeth London. Do take care. Jackie.
