Thank you, Liane, for those directions re the IGI. I've checked it out but it seems that IGI will still not accept individual corrections. I would have to submit a Gedcom file - which I haven't got - with this correction as part of it. Or so it seems to me. I'm not computer illiterate quite, but it's just not the way I work. While it could be regarded as a pity as I've spent many (20+) years searching for this person looking in the wrong direction, none of it has been wasted however because other discoveries have been made as a result of looking elsewhere. Genealogy and family history takes us off in so many directions - funny old business, really. I hope that anyone else researching BRIDG(E)FORD or BUDDYFORD will see this submission of mine to the Rootsweb list and realise the IGI error this way. Many thanks again, Liane. Ruth
