    3. Hi, I have looked at Baptism entries for the Parish of Plumstead, Kent 1844 and found a name of interest. My question to the List is - although I have the date of birth, baptism date and parents is it possible to apply for the birth certificate without the GRO reference numbers? I've searched Free BMD and Family Search and found no entry for this person and do realise all records aren't available on Free BMD. Any suggestions? The name is Jane DEAYTON, born 25 August and baptised 22 September 1844, parents Edwin Charles and Jane DEAYTON, Plumstead, Kent. Thanks, Carol Battishill from Warners Bay, NSW, Australia

    3. I can't see her on Ancestry but you can send to the Kent registry office for it without the GRO number. They use different numbering anyway. Just give them all the info you have. You can find them from this web site. http://extranet3.kent.gov.uk/sp/rois/home.cfm Good luck.
