Hi Mike, Clutching at a straw here! My G'dad was born Thomas St. Hulme (you have kindly sorted me out with that one!) I have a death cert. now which is POSSIBLY his mother : dying at 4 Mint Court, Cross St. Hulme, South Manchester. As there was an inquest into this death, there is no clue re a family member, so I was hoping to find this address somewhere near Thomas St. I found 2 Cross Streets on the CD I have borrowed, but the detail is too small to include any "courts". Is it likely that I won't get the answer to this one! Pat W

Mint Court in 1849 was to the east of the Cavalry Barracks in Hulme. It ran from Moss Lane through to Lloyd street. Before it entered Lloyd street on the south side of Cross was Mint Court. I have sent you this map section. You said you had Thomas street map. So I did not bother trying to locate it. Remember I have to use a magnifying glass there is no street directory on these maps :)) Regrads Mike Morris Toronto Canada. ----- Original Message ----- From: "patricia williams" <pat.williams121@virgin.net> To: <eng-manchester@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 19, 2008 6:47 PM Subject: [ENG-MAN] Hulme/C-on-M map > > Hi Mike, > Clutching at a straw here!
