Dear Gisela Thank you so much for replying to my message. I think you are right and my Dentiths and yours are connected in some way. The thing I did pick up on was that your John Dentith was an Iron Dresser (Manuf). Firstly may I ask if the (Manuf) meant he was actually a manufacturer of iron or was he a worker? All my Dentiths from the 1800's were nail makers, iron workers, or general iron smiths. There was a large iron foundry in the 1800's in Salford called The Salford Iron Works and I have established from addresses I have for the family that they probably worked there as they all lived within easy walking distance of the foundry. It seems to me, a great coincidence, that your John Dentith was something to do with iron. I intend to subscribe to "Ancestry" in the near future and if I come across your people I will contact you. We live in Perth, close to the city. But it seems that our line is not connected (unless through cousins, or other family members), I have a Mary Denthith in 1881 with her Warburton children with John DENTITH, Iron Dresser (Manuf). Her original name was Mary (ROSS) WARBURTON. There does not seem to be a marriage with the above Mary and John. They are in the 1891 census with 2 youngest children as DENTITH, (Matilda and Martha). but in the 1901 census Mary is down as Mary WARBURTON, widow, with her youngest Martha (originally DENTITH in 1881(1 week)is now Martha WARBURTON, and Matilda (written as Mitilda in 1881, and not in 1901 census) but with 2 off Matilda's offspring, Mary and William. I often wonder if Martha married, and if she was a WARBURTON or DENTITH. All above born down as born SALFORD, Lancashire. I am also living in Western Australia.
