Hi List and "welcome back Mike", This is a great day.l am wondering if you would happen to have a map which includes the Peel street, Salford area. l was sent an 1851 shot of my Verdon family,mistranscribed as Wendon,and they live at 24 Peel street,Greengate. [thanks Madalyn]. l am not familiar with Greengate so thought our Mike may have a map section of the area, hooray,Pauline in Aus.

I have located a Peel street on the east side of the river Irwell close to the hair pin bend in the south section of the river.. At one section of my present day map it shows the Greengate name as a section in the river. I know as this travels east it bends south again and is called Greengate. All I can do is send you the map section showing Peel street and you see if you recorgnise other street names. Peel street was on the east side of Adelphi Street and about three streets north of Chapel Street.
