Hi Ann, I do understand that it's off topic, I was just worried about people visiting on their own. My parents and grandmother are also buried there, when I make the trip from my home in Somerset to Southern Cemetery I now have to make sure that I''m accompanied, it so sad because I would like to sit by the grave and tell them things, it's not quite the same when someone else is with me. I'm sure that they understand. Here where I live in Somerset it's totally different, I hardly ever lock my car, house doors and windows are left open, walking my dog in the woods is safe and it's safe to walk in the village late at night time. Grave yards are totally respected, once a year the local young people help do a thorough clean up of all weeds etc. How the world has changed in other places, we seem to be in a time warp, long may it be that way. Have a good day, Regards Jackie. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann" <Gordon.Annbrown@btinternet.com> To: <eng-manchester@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, June 02, 2008 10:52 AM Subject: Re: [ENG-MAN] Southern Cemetery graves. > Hi Jackie > I have sent this reply off list because some peoplewill say that it isnt a > relevant topic. > It is very sad and a sign of the times.
