Hi list I am trying to find any info on Israel OLIVE & Eliza Dorah BUXTON. They married 1849 in Manchester, Lancashire (from Free BDM). Their is one son John Henry OLIVE born abt 1851 in Manchester. John married Elizabeth DRURY in 1871 in Manchester. The family (+ 5 children) came to Australia in 1879. John was noted as a Sizer of Cotton on the shipping list. I have not been able to trace the family via FreeCen. Any help on finding information or if their were any siblings would be appreciated. Hi Maria, I found some old mesages (June 2004) regarding Israel and Elizabeth OLIVE farming with a son, George and his wife Ella in Minnesota during the 1880 American census. I was wondering if you were able to confirm if this was the correct family? Were you able to order the 1849 marriage certificate? Should have Isreal's father's name; perhaps it was John and the family did emigrate to the US... hth David
