I'm a bit puzzled, just forked out £5 for census access via genesreunited, but find they don't have the records I'm looking for. Ancestry.co.uk do! Was looking for the household of Sarah Settree (b approx 1830) in 1851- I believe she had a sister Mary, her father was William and her mother Hannah. If anyone could help me out I would be greatful. Occupation: Callenderer. Born: St Allen, Herefordshire I didn't know what a Callenderer did, so looked it up and found an excellent site listing old occupations. A Callenderer is a person who operated a machine which pressed using two large rollers (calender) used to press and finish fabrics or paper.
