Hi I have recently discovered a relative of mine Arthur Joe SHAW married Emily WILSON a widow (Nee HARRIS) at the Register Office in the district of Prestwich in Sept. 1913 in the presence of Thos WILSON and M.J.WILSON At the time of the marriage Arthur's occupation is listed as newsagent living at 30 Bradshaw Street, Broughton Emily is listed as living at 13 Garnett Street Cheetham The 1901 census shows Arthur as a Saddler, as he had been in previous census returns The 1901 census also shows Emily married to Harry Herbert WILSON living at 13 Garnett Street and lists Harry as a Newsagent and Shopkeeper Harry died in 1903 leaving Emily with a young son called Harry Herbert born in 1901 I would very much appreciate any help in finding what became of the family I seem to have hit a brick wall. Would the Register of Electors be of any use in establishing how long the family were in residence at the address given. Has anyone any other suggestions or have any links to the family.
