    3. Hello Thank you for allowing me to join your list. My mother’s name was Pixton and I am trying to put together the jigsaw. My grandfather was Charles Pixton. He was born in 1888 Salford to Charles and Eleanor. He had an older sister Florence born 1886 Salford and had 3 surviving half brothers born to Eleanor and possibly Joseph or James Pixton. My great Grandfather was Charles Pixton born 1848 Chester. He lost two wives and two children before he met Eleanor Brierley. We don’t believe they married though Eleanor used the name Pixton. Charles died 1888 the year my grandfather was born. Eleanor did not name the father for the children after the death of Charles. One of the sons named Joseph Pixton as his father when he married. Eleanor died 1911 on her death certificate it names her the widow of James Pixton. I can not find Eleanor, Florence and Charles on the 1891 census. In 1901 they are living in Barlow Street. Eccles. I can’t find Eleanor as Brierley in 1881 census she is not with her family Isaac Brierley and her sisters Fanny, Mary and Sarah living in Rochdale Road St George Manchester. I wondered whether a new pair of eyes or train of thought could find her in these two census. She was not Pixton in 1881 as Charles was living with his second wife.
