    1. [ENG-MAN] Kersal Lodge
    2. Dear Alison If you Google 'Kersal Lodge' you'll find information about it as Kersal Dale has been well-researched by the below mentioned 'Friends of Kersal Dale.' The first website shows a video of the area - its history etc. In fact it's worth looking at by anyone with an interest in Manchester generally. _http://www.salford.gov.uk/leisure/parks/parksinsalford/countryparks/thecliff/ kersaldalevideo.htm_ (http://www.salford.gov.uk/leisure/parks/parksinsalford/countryparks/thecliff/kersaldalevideo.htm) _http://www.friends-of-kersal-dale.org.uk/history.html_ (http://www.friends-of-kersal-dale.org.uk/history.html) No mention of James DOWN unfortunately. JD appears in Pigot's 1828-9 Directory in Leicester (?)living/practising in Belvoir {pronounced Beever) Street in the centre of Leicester. But maybe you knew that already. In what year did JD die? Regards Ruth (in Leicester)
