If you go to TNA at <http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/records.aspx?cat=127-m3&cid=2#2> which is "Records concerned with the administration of the poor law and other functions of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of Manchester" and scroll down, you'll find a Index of Apprentices.
