Hello, British passports are unaccessible for 100 years after the issue date. Tried several years ago and was told this is the policy. I don't believe it has changed. Hi, as regards old passports, I know it is possible to find records of when passports were issued. But what period is included, I don't know. When I was looking (I think it would have been on Findmypast.com) I was searching in the 1880s. But it was just a brief name (not even in full I think?) and a date, nothing else as I remember. Try Findmypast.com. Sally in Yorkshire
