Hi All I have been advised that inmates of various institutions [including jails] were shown in the various census at the end of the enumeration district where they were situated Could someone have knowledge as to which district the jail[s] of Manchester were to be found The person I seek was not listed with his wife & family in the 1841 census. Records show that he had two court convictions, so it was possible that he was in prison at that time---the question is,-- where? Can anyone please assist Thanks Robert From the Roaring Forties
