The Morning Chronicle,Monday,April 3rd,1854.- Ecclesiastical - The Rev.William Verdon M.A.,Curate of Trinity Church, Salford,has been appointed to the incumbency of St.Johns' Church,Pendlebury,rendered vacant by the preferment of the Rev.C.F.Smith,to the Vicarage of Crediton,Devonshire, Patrons the Bishop of Manchester,Sir B.Heywood and others.
