Thank you Patricia. I have taken the address of the Records Office. They should know what orphanages were operating back in the 1850s. If I could find out what part of Manchester she lived in it might help. As she doesn't seem to be on the Ancestry.com censuses I need the CDs. Buying all 10 is not an option. I will ask if people can do lookups for me. Can't think of what else to do. Thanks again.
