Hi Pauline, I am trying to sort out enumeration districts. On the 1851 census Slaford came completely under Manchester and the enumeration districts are as follows. Ancoats Hulme Newton Deansgate London Rd. Regent Road Greengate Market St. St George. I do not think that Peel street would come under Ancoats, Hulme, Newton. Possibles would be Deansgate, Regent Road maybe Market street I am not too sure where Greengate was but I think it is another possible. I have tried to look at some of the descriptions of the enumeration districts but some are badly marked. When I have time I will have another go, but at the moment things are a little hectic for me.
