That's fantastic, Jane. Thank you so much. You found more information than I asked for because living next door to the FLETCHER's was Edward HODSON, the man Ann FLETCHER went on to marry! Now, as always the way, that's answered one question but given me several more. The entry lists Charles and 2 of his children living with him - but where are the other 4? William was married 19 April 1841 (pre or post Census night?) and may have been living at 205 Oxford Street (entry in Slater's 1847 directory), Henry (aged 15) would be an apprentice engraver somwhere in Manchester, and Mary (25) and Sarah Tettle FLETCHER (23) I know absolutely nothing about (I haven't been able to find deaths or marriages for either of them).
