Hi All Is there SKS who can tell me if Stockport was part of Manchester in 1800 or would it have been considered in Cheshire? I am looking for a marriage between James Newton and Lucy Broadhurst probably between 1810-1820. They had a son John born 1820/21 but he may not have been the eldest. Lucy was baptised in St Mary's Church, Stockport. Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.
