Is it possible that Cheetwood was a district? I have someone listed in Pigot's 1841 with what appear to be 2 entries, one just under 'Cheetwood' and one with what is obviously a home address at Fennel St. He was a cordwainer and might have had the business and the home at separate locations. He subsequently moved to Cheetwood Lane if that helps you to identify the area Kath
Fennel street was on the east side of the Manchester cathedral. To the north a short walking distance was the area known as Cheetwood. Cheetwood was north of Strangeways Prison. Cheetwood lane was in Cheetwood. I have saved the Fennel street map section dated 1844. But dont know who was asking about this street. So please contact me.
