I have been watching and learning, then searching from information you have posted. It has been a great help. Thank you. However, I do have a family I am searching for more info on in Manchester - and decided I should bring them to your attention, perhaps you have suggestions: I have 2 generations of McKee's in Manchester (moved from Armagh Ireland > Liverpool > Manchester) Robert McKEE b. 1853 Ireland immigrated 1876 to England. Occupation - Joiner(carpenter ?) m. 20 Oct 1877 Armagh, Ireland Ann Jane Hutchinson b. 1852 Ireland immigrated 1877 to England 6 Children: Sarah Jane b. 1879 Ireland William b. 1880 Lancashire, Gorton, England Robert Clarke b. 1882 Lancashire, Manchester, England Maggie b. 1885 Lancashire, Manchester, England Clara A. b. 1887 Lancashire, Manchester, England Agnes Edith b. 1890 Lancashire, Manchester, England I have located this family in Lancashire on the 1901, 1891 and 1881 census's. Where is Gorton? Would some information be available in the carpenter's guild? Did the parents die/buried in Manchester? Did some of the other siblings remain in Manchester or England? Robert Clarke McKEE b. 1882 Lancashire, Manchester, England d. 1949 Alberta, Canada m. 1903 Manchester, England(located M record for RCMcKee in BMD Index Apr-June 1903 - no copy yet) Mary BARON b. 1885 England d. 1957 Seattle, Washington 5 Children: Constance Mary b. 1903 Manchester d. 1904 PRestwich, England (death in BMD Index) Robert Baron b. 1905 Manchester, England Robert C., Mary and Robert B., immigrated to Canada in 1905 - although they did live for awhile in North Dakota. Seriously, if anyone has an alternate e-mail address from which they'd like to post to the list, whilst receiving list mail only at their subscribed address, please let me know. It's very easy to tweak subscriber settings so that subscribers can post from a different address than the one subscribed.
