Many thanks for your e-mails but please do not spend anymore time looking. I've just heard back from the Army Museum who tell me that the cap was regular issue and as my father was not wearing any badges it would indicate that at the time the pic was taken Dad was a new recruit, therefore it would be impossible to identify any regiment. So sad to think that my father Army Records may be lost forever. Kindest regards Jackie.
