Hi Sally, I have sent you map sections showing the Flint Glassworks in Ancoats in 1844 and in 1894. I use to work on the same street that Flint was on. But this glassworks is a bit before my time :)) Notice they are built on the side of a Rochdale canal bank. The company I worked for was built the same way. The glass company could ship goods by barge.
