    2. Hi Jan, Thank you for that, that is really kind of you. The address given in 1871 is 7 North Road. Am I right in thinking they pulled down the houses on Ashton New Road? I remember my parents talking of some redevelopment work and the house I used to visit as a child, 689 Ashton New Road, was being demolished. Best wishes & thanks again Vanda >----Original Message---- >From: janice.lehmann@ntlworld.com >Date: 14/07/2008 21:50 >To: <eng-manchester@rootsweb.com> >Subj: Re: [ENG-MAN] Clayton > > > >Hi Vanda, >I have walked up North Road, Clayton many times in my life. 3. Hi Vanda, I will get over there this weekend. Lots of Ashton New Road, and the Old Road for that matter have had masses of redevelopment over the years. Ashton New Road is very long, North Road sits about half way between Manchester and Ashton, North Road lies just to the back of the main road. I'll see what I can find for you.
