    1. [ENG-MAN] Elizabeth FLETCHER and Rusholme cemetery
    2. Thank you very much for all the reponses I received yesterday. I am posting here the reply I received from Manchester Archives at the Central Library, St Peter's Square, as it may be of help to someone else. << The original records for Rusholme Cemetery are held at The National Archives in London but we have microfilm copies here of the grave registers (1821-1933) on MFPR 868, interment registers (MFPR 869-870) and gravestone inscriptions (MFPR 1947). No booking is required to us the microfilm unit, which is based on the first floor and is open Mon-Thu 9-5 and Fri-Sat 9-5. >> I am beginning to feel more optimistic now as I have a number of leads to follow. My first attempt will be with Rusholme. Unfortunately the Archives don't do look-ups on film. I'm based in the very rural Midlands and can't get to London or Manchester easily. So, please would someone kindly do a look up for me in Manchester? I'm asking a lot, I know, as it's on film - all that winding! As I don't have a death date for Elizabeth, it could take a long time to find her. But I do have one for her husband Charles FLETCHER. I am working on a hunch that they may have been buried together and perhaps with their children. So I'm going to put Elizabeth on one side for the moment, and concentrate on her husband. Charles FLETCHER died 28th June 1866 aged 79 Elizabeth FLETCHER (nee COBB) died between 1825 and 1837 If Charles can't be found then I'll have to think further. Many thanks again. Ruth
