Hello everyone, I'm having a lot of trouble finding my family in 1841, 1851 AND 1861!!! In fact they seem to have disappeared from Prestwich area records also even though I know that my ancestor Ann stayed in the area. If anyone has any ideas of things I can look for that I haven't thought of I would really appreciate it. This is the family I'm trying to discover more info on. RICHARD KAY born circa 1810. Richard is probably either the Richard christened s/o Thomas and Mary Prestwich 1811 or s/o Richard and Mary Prestwich 1802. I may not ever know which one he was unfortunately. Richard married: ELLEN (nee WEEDER) at Prestwich St Mary 1834 (from lancs OPC Prestwich records) both were of 'Prestwich' Richard and Ellen had the following children that I know of: THOMAS christened 1835 Prestwich (father Richard a Printer) abode Prestwich ANN christened 1837 Eccles (father Richard a Printer) abode Pendlebury I've been trying to find the family in 1841 and 1851 with no luck, even though I'm trying both Kay and Kaye and searching for either Richard or Ellen (in case one of them had passed away after 1837). I've even tried searching for Thomas and Ann seperately with no luck. In 1861 the children Thomas and Ann may have moved out and have been working so that makes it a little harder to search for them. I would really especially like to find the family hopefully together in 1841 or 1851. When Ann got married in Salford 1867 she recorded her fathers name and occupation. I know sometimes they do that if they have passed away anyway but it seems to suggest he may have still been living. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you, Tamara
