    3. Thanks to everyone who is transcribing Lancashire Parish data. I have been able to find my great grandmother and her siblings baptisms. It has helped so much with my family research. My Great great grandparents- James & Sarah (Ivison) Mitton had these children: 1-Mary Jane born 3 Jan 1864 baptized 13 Mar 1864 at St Thomas, Ardwick abode Howard St Ardwick Father Occ Fitter 2-George Alfred born 20 Sep 1865 baptized 23 Sep 1866 same address & occupation 3-Elizabeth C cannot find birth or baptism born ca 1869 4-John Richard born in 1871 in St George, Manchester in 1871 died quite young 5- Charlotte Ivison born 29 May 1873 baptized 07 Aug 1873 ( My gr Grandmother) St James, Collyhurst 6-James William baptized 14 Apr 1878 St James, Collyhurst died quite young Does anyone have any ideas on how I can find Elizabeth's baptism?     3. Hi Jo-Ann:   There's still a lot of the Manchester area records not yet transcribed. So your baptisms could be missing from LAN-OPC and the IGI etc. I assume that you have checked the FreeBMD births Elizabeth Ellen Mitton in the June Q of 1869 in Manchester and also Sarah Elizabeth A Mitton in the Mar Q of 1869 in Chorlton. You'll need to apply for the cert specifying the father's name and occupation.   If this is too expensive then you'll have to wait until someone puts the baptisms online. You could speed up this process by volunteering to transcribe for LAN-OPC. See their website for how to do this.   Good luck!
