Mountain Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Hello there, I am researching James MONKS, born about 1856 in Lancashire. He married Emily HIBBERT 10.11.1877 in Bradford Manchester. Emily and her son emigrated to Australia in 1882 and came out to join her husband who had sailed earlier. Their children's names were: John W,(born England) the rest were born Australia - Elizabeth Ann, Emily, Mary Ellen, Lillian M, James William, Thomas Samuel, Martha Minnie Eliza and Walter Charles Ellis Monks. His parents were John and Elizabeth on his death record. Emily HIBBERT was also from Lancashire on her shipping record and 22 yrs old in 1882. Her death record says her parents were John and Emily. I am wondering, as this couple married in MANCHESTER, were they also born there. Were they both working in Manchester perhaps. Does anyone have the 1871 census,or earlier, which might tell me whether they were in Bradford and perhaps where they were born. Can anyone help me with this family. regards Judy in Australia ~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~ PLEASE and THANK YOU -- Don't cost a thing and mean so much. ~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
