Hi again, the actual marriage license rarely survives as it was given to the groom to keep and show to the vicar but these were not stored anywhere. What you need to look for is the allegation that went with it. (A statement that the couple were not within the forbidden bounds for marriage) . These are often stored in archives but I'm only familiar with the Welsh system maybe someone on this list could advise you better, kind regards, Marian ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris & George Jamieson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, May 04, 2011 12:17 AM Subject: [ENG-MAN] Marriage Licence No. 24456 > The WALKER/HALLOWS marriage cert I've previously written about states the > couple were married by the above Licence No. > > Where would I be able to find a copy of the Licence? > > Regards > Chris, Sydney Australia > > > > > ~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~ > > PLEASE and THANK YOU -- Don't cost a thing and mean so much. > > > ~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~ > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without > the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > ______________________________________________ > This email has been scanned by Netintelligence > http://www.netintelligence.com/email > > ______________________________________________ This email has been scanned by Netintelligence http://www.netintelligence.com/email
