Hi All My 2x gr-aunt, Ann Johnston b1850 married Hilton Roscoe b1848 (occupation colour mixer) in 1868 at St Phillips, Ancoats and had the following children (all baptised at St Phillips): Mary Elizabeth b 1870 James b 1872 Edwin b 1874 I have Ann and Hilton with daughter Mary Elizabeth in 1871 on Templar St, Hiltons occupation is borer. I've found Hilton in 1881 (spelt Roscow) boarding with the bridgman family at 48 Lloyd St, Ancoats, he's claiming to be unmarried. By 1882 he's remarried a Susannah Sutherland. I can find no sign of Ann and the children, I've been searching for most of the day, and I think now I need new eyes! I can find no deaths, marriages, or any sign on passenger lists or census returns, it's as though they've just vanished! Help and opinions please. Regards Jane :o)
