There is a High street running north from Market street into Shudehill. Its not far from Manchester cathedral or Picadilly . and its central Manchester. I have saved you this map section if you feel it might help. Do you have a baptismal record ? this would show a church. Just remembered the register could have been at All Saints, Chorlton On Medlock, which would be south Manchester.
