His father is not at home, his mother Mary age 40 is, Jane 15,Thomas 15, Samuel 14, Elizabeth 10 all living in Myrtle Street, Hulme, Manchester. So it looks like this Thomas is a twin. I am trying to find the parents of Thomas Slater who was born on 10 November 1826. On various records that have been found, his place of birth is always given as Manchester, Lancashire. I know nothing of his parents, but Thomas attended Emmanuel College, Cambridge, during which time he married Adelaide Tomblin of Rutland (1852). He was ordained as a Priest in Manchester in 1858, and became Curate of Ramsbottom. He later served as Curate in various churches in Staffordshire, and became Vicar of Coseley in 1863.He died at Coseley in 1883. I should be pleased to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of this family. Kind regards, Margaret Buchanan Aberdeen. ~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~ PLEASE and THANK YOU -- Don't cost a thing and mean so much. ~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
