Hi there, I'm new to this list and would like to introduce myself. I live in Yorkshire but am researching family ties from all over the place; Lancashire, Worcestershire, Flintshire, Shetland, Norway and Lincolnshire amongst others. Surnames of interest are; FOSTER, FRITH, WARING, KENYON, SPENCE, EDWARDS, and EVANS amongst others. May I ask my first question? I have found Thomas KENYON cabinet maker b 1822 to parents John a gardener and Mary. There are two Thomas Kenyons who both marry an Ellen in Manchester Cathedral. One is Ellen HOUGH 15 Dec 1845, the other Ellen LANGLEY 1849. Unfortunately the children's baptisms do not tell me my Ellen's surname! I am trying not to spend much more money on certificates so wondered if any marriage register would provide me with the occupation and/or father of the groom in these marriages so that I can work out which is the right one? Apologies to anyone on the Rochdale or Bury lists where related (but not the same) questions have been asked.I hope I haven't broken the rules already! Sorry in advance if any of this contravenes them, Marian ______________________________________________ This email has been scanned by Netintelligence http://www.netintelligence.com/email
