Hi Marian: Post 1837 marriages should have the name and occupation of the fathers of the bride & groom - if they provided this information. Access to microfilm of the registers has become a little more difficult with the closing of Manchester Central Library's research room. Someone else may know what the current alternatives are. However, the LDS church has microfilmed these registers and you should be able to order the films from your local LDS Genealogy Library. You may want to check and see if your nearest LDS libraries actually already have the films. Other patrons may have ordered them permanently. Best wishes, Irene
