    3. Hi Tony and All, Thank you for your reply. Not that I know of. I have in 1841 Joseph HILL, b c 1829, my ancestor, who names Joseph as his father on the marriage certificate, three presumed sisters, Ann, Mary Ann and Elizabeth and presumed mother Elizabeth MORTON. In 1861 Elizabeth MORETON, mother, is living with Joseph and in 1851 Elizabeth MORTON, mother, is living with Thomas HILL. All happened in Manchester and immediate environs except Elizabeth MOR(E)TON was born in Leeds. I cannot find either of Elizabeth's HILL or MOR(E)TON marriages or trace the other children. So the pieces fit together but I would like to find some proof. Sorry I cannot help with your Holmes Chapel/Astbury HILL's (unless you have links to mine in Manchester).
