Hi All, I have just received the death certificate of Elizabeth MORETON (MORTON). She died in 1868 in Lime Grove, Cheadle, Cheadle Bulkeley aged 75 of bronchitis. John PROWD was in attendance. The only John PROWD I can find was a butcher, as was Edward MORETON, Elizabeth's deceased husband. Elizabeth was living in Barton-upon-Irwell in 1861 and generally North Manchester. John PROWD also lived in Barton-upon-Irwell. So why was she in Lime Grove? Was there any sort of nursing care there? Why was John PROWD there rather than one of her children? (John was not married to one of her children.) The only thing I can think of is a business friendship although in 1851 Elizabeth was a publican. Has anyone any suggestions? Christine
