My ancestor was JOSEPH HASLAM who emigrated with his wife HANNAH CORRIGAN to  the US from Manchester in 1858. He was a shoemaker. He was christened in 1821 and was married in the Collegiate Church in 1842. Joseph's parents were JAMES HASLAM, a mechanic, born abt 1781 and ELLEN IRVIN. Records indicate there were 10 children including Joseph.
