My question is why wouldn't they? In later immigration it is seen where people from the same village/area immigrated together or to the same place. Often, but I don't think always, one or two went first and sent for the others. It isn't the only reason, but one of many including religious affinity. I would not rule out that they were from the same area, if not village. I'd keep an open mind until proved either way.
